Multi-Company Entry

True Multi-Company accounting allowing different company accounts on any Invoice, Bill, Journal, or Check. Patented processes allow Business First Financials to enter all Multi-Company entries automatically. You just focus on where you want the expenses or revenue to go.

Multi-Company Reporting

Multi-Company Reporting allows for true consolidated drillable Balance Sheets and Income Statements in real time. Balance Sheets can be run for any set of companies. Income Statement for anything you track for your business.

Consolidated Financial Reporting

Business First Financials was designed to deliver accurate and timely consolidated multi-company financial reports. Users can run consolidated reports on any combination of companies on the system. All income statements and balance sheets number are drillable, giving you greater transparency into your business.

Cloud-Based

Business First is cloud-based, so you can work anywhere there is an internet connection. Cloud-based software lowers costs for the user by reducing technology strain at the user level and allowing our data center to handle the heavy work. This also means you are always using the most up-to-date version of the software. Regular backups happen at our state-of-the-art data center, keeping your information safe.

Single & Multi Company Allocations

Business First Financials has both general allocations and dynamic distinct allocations. Named allocations are allocations you set up to use during the year. Named allocations can even be allocations of other allocations such as Executive Pay allocated to specific Region or Office Allocations. Dynamic Distinct Allocations are automatic based on previous Bills or Invoices. As soon as you enter a new Vendor or Client, the system looks at the past 2 years’ worth of entries and allows you to allocate the new entry the same way you allocated any past entry.

Allocations can even cross multiple companies using the patented multi-company engine to automatically add the multi-company balancing entries.

Drill Down Reporting

Business First Financials provides a level of detail in reports that is unprecedented in other accounting systems. Start at an Income Statement or Balance Sheet, and drill down not just to the GL – where other data warehouse reporting solutions stop – but further, to the AP or AR modules. Need more? You can even access an image of the check itself. And drill works in all periods, not just the current period or year.

Transparency/Deep Drill

The dashboard shows single and consolidated Balance Sheets and Income Statements across time. Pie charts allow drilling to any business for more detailed analysis. For example, you can see the transactions of a single region, office, department, category, line of business, event, etc.

Training & Support

Training- All training will be conducted in one of three ways: in person, via screen share, or by phone. Training is customized for each client.

Powerful Search with Drill

Powerful Search screens allow you to quickly find any entry. Every item is linked to every other item. For example, an AR Invoice is linked to the client, and also to the AR Checks that pay the invoice. The AR Check is linked to the AR Deposit. The AR Deposit is linked to the Bank Reconciliation.

Account Imports

The software can sync account information from credit cards, bank accounts, and loans. Syncing with these accounts allows for easy tracking of revenue and expenses such as food, entertainment, clothes, telephone and balance of any loan such as auto, mortgage or student loans.

Security Masks

Security Masks match your business management structure. Your regional manager can only see items related to their region. Your Line of Business manager can only see items related to their Line of Business. This allows you to give managers direct access to financials to run their own income statements.

Job Cost Accounting

Track jobs at any level including Invoices, Bills, Checks, or Journals. Each item can optionally track multiple jobs at the detail line level. Income Statements can be run by job or set of jobs.

Bank Reconciliation

Bank Reconciliation is quick and easy with Business First Financials. No need to reconcile in external excel files. We can do traditional bank reconciliations and also monthly activity reconciliations. This allows you to easily find which month may have a problem that needs to be investigated.
